To get an SHO appointment you must join the police department as Inspector and you meet the following eligibility criteria.
Gender: Male, Female
Pay Scale: BPS-16
Qualification: Graduation 2nd Division with 50% marks
Age Required: 25 to 28 years
Height for Male: 5 feet 7 Inches
Height for Females: 5 feet 4 inches
Chest for Males: 33 Inches to 34 ½
Vision: 6/6 with and without glasses
Age relaxation up to 5 years according to govt rules

MCQs Based Paper: 100 marks
Descriptive paper: Essay in English and Urdu
Public Service Commission may conduct extra papers like General knowledge, current affairs, Islamiyat studies, English, maths, Pak studies, and everyday science.
After the Academic test Psychology Assessment test and psychology interview with the panel of 5 members.
After that final viva interview was conducted for the final selection.

SHO Police Inspector Salary
Inspector SHO is given BPS-16 and initial salary is PKR 18910 to PKR 65000/month
Training Duration
Selected candidates are sent to Police College Sihala for the training of 12 months. 03 Months Elite training is also given in the training center.
SHO Inspector Uniform
Punjab Police Male and female SHO inspectors wear Khaki uniforms during duty while Sindh, KPK, and Balochistan Police wear Black Uniform during duty as SHO.
